General Settings

The general settings menu in vspPanel is where most of your database and connectivity settings are stored. The items in this menu are described below:

  • Base Directory: This is the base directory of your copy of vspPanel, it is a relative path from your web accessible directory
  • Full Path: This is the full path of your vspPanel installation from your drives "/" directory.
  • Database Type: The type of database you will be using (currently only MySQL is supported)

Main Database Settings - Refers to the database being used to store the vspPanel settings, user details and general operational information.

  • Main MySQL Database Host: The IP or Domain of your mysql server.
  • Main MySQL Username: The username used to access your MySQL Server.
  • Main MySQL Password: The password used to access your MySQL Server.
  • Main MySQL Database Name: The name of the database used for storing vspPanel's settings in MySQL.
  • Main MySQL Port: The port of the MySQL Server (Default is 3306)

CDR Database Settings - Refers to the database used to store your CDR records. (Call Detail Records).

  • CDR MySQL Database Host: The IP or Domain of your mysql server.
  • CDR MySQL Username: The username used to access your MySQL Server.
  • CDR MySQL Password: The password used to access your MySQL Server.
  • CDR MySQL Database Name: The name of the database used for storing vspPanel's settings in MySQL.
  • CDR MySQL Port: The port of the MySQL Server (Default is 3306)

Company Details - Refers to specific details about your company.

  • Company Name: The name of your company
  • Company Phone Number: The phone number of your company in your local format.
  • Company Address Line 1: Address of your company.
  • Company Address Line 2: Address of your company.
  • Company Zip Code (Postcode): The ZIP/Postcode of your company
  • Company Country: The country of origin of your company.

Codecs and Protocols - Refers to the codes and protocols which you want to allow customers to be able to use in the system

The codecs and protocols section allows you to choose which codecs you want to allow your customers to be able to connect to you via. The codecs you choose will be visible in the client area. If in doubt simply set all to Yes.

Account Numbers - This Section allows you to set the starting number for your internal account numbers. E.g. if you set your starting number to: 100000 then your first customer would be given the internal number 100000, your second customer would be given the number 100001 and so on. This is simply a way of giving your customers an "In-Network" number
